Gary Young – B.Sc.(Hons), PT

To say the least Gary is a sports junkie. He’s the owner and founder of dynamic and is a physio extraordinaire. With advanced training and personal experience with neck, back, shoulder, foot and sports related injuries he knows how to treat just about every injury and condition. Gary practices exercise based rehabilitation that will have you up and running in no time.

Alex Lye MSRS, B.Sc.Kin(Hons), PT

Alex earned an honours degree in Kinesiology from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2007 and a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Science (M.Sc. RS) from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland in 2010.

His particular fields of interest lie in vestibular rehabilitation for the treatment of vertigo and dizziness, acupuncture and dry needling, concussion therapy, and musculoskeletal orthopedics and sports injuries. He also has extensive knowledge and continued education in the areas of lumbo-pelvic disorders, TMJ dysfunction, running assessment and injury treatment and prevention. He has worked with numerous sports particularly the Rock rugby team, various martial arts clubs, numerous basketball teams of all ages, racket sports especially squash where he is considered one of the top players in the province.

Frank Knox - B.Sc. P.T. FCAMT

Frank Knox attended Memorial University and earned a B. Sc. in Biology in 1987. He then attended Dalhousie University earned a B. Sc in Physiotherapy in 1989. He has over 27 years of clinical experience with the majority in orthopedics and private practice. He earned the designation of a Fellow of the Canadian Association of Manipulative Therapists in 1995 after successful completion of Part A and B exams through the Orthopaedic Division of CPA. From 1995 – 1998 he was an instructor at the School of Massage Therapy at the Career Academy and from 1998 – present he is an instructor at the College of the North Atlantic in the Rehabilitation Assistants’ Program.

Cynthia Littlejohn PT

Cynthia graduated from Memorial University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (co-op) honors; where she was a member of the women's varsity volleyball team. She went on to complete her Masters in Science of Physiotherapy at McMaster University graduating in 2008. Cynthia has been working in private practice since that time. Cynthia has a strong interest in manual therapy and has completed her level III Diploma of manual therapy through the orthopedic division of manual therapy diploma program. Other areas of continuing education include acupuncture, advanced hip assessment and treatment, soft tissue release, athletic and postural taping, mulligan techniques, shoulder assessment and treatment as well as running analysis and running injury treatment and prevention.

Gerianne Rowe, MScPT

Gerianne graduated with her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy (MSc PT) from Dalhousie University, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience at MUN. In her practice she takes pride in promoting overall health and well-being for all of her clients through a mainly exercise-based approach to treatment. She prioritizes patient empowerment to help recovery last long term. Partly due to her combined education in psychology and physiotherapy, she is interested in the role of yoga and mindfulness for the treatment of chronic pain, as well as for active athletes and seniors. Gerianne is also particularly interested in Sacroiliac Joint and low back pain. Despite several specific interest areas, she loves treating clients with all sorts of complaints ranging from athletes to injured workers, children, and seniors. In her spare time, Gerianne enjoys going to the gym, hiking, yoga, reading, singing, and travelling.

Norbert Lake D.C

Norbert has over 15 years of clinical experience and has enjoyed working in a variety of clinical settings with a variety of health professionals. In his current role as Chiropractor with Dynamic Physiotherapy and Wellness, Norbert has the pleasure of working with a great group of dedicated professionals. He maintains a general practice clinic incorporating manual treatment techniques with exercise and active rehabillitation approaches. Norbert practices what he preaches and does stress the importance of fitness, nutrition and having a healthy lifestyle. When not at work, you can find Norbert running, at the gym, or relaxing with family and friends. Professional, yet laid back, is how Norbert likes to keep things.

Heidi Legrow-RMT

Heidi obtained her education from The Canadian College Of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Toronto. She has been practicing full-time as a Registered Massage Therapist in clinical, hospital & long term care settings throughout Ontario & Newfoundland since 2005. She is a current member in good standing with the CMTNL & NLMTA.

Heidi has treated a multitude of acute & chronic conditions/ injuries working with all ages in the general public, motor vehicle collisions, workplace injuries & sports injuries. She has trained in Toronto hospitals working with high-risk pregnancies, offers experience with professional trainers & athletes, as well as offers an escape to those who simply need time to relax or ease a simple headache. Whether your goal is rehabilitation, prevention, or relaxation, Heidi encourages you to get involved with Massage Therapy as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Courtney Waterman, RMT

Courtney graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Academy Canada in 2017 and is an active member of the Newfoundland & Labrador Massage Therapists Association. She enjoys to focus on deep tissue therapy along with other modalities such as cupping and relaxation techniques. Courtney thrives on positvity and hard work which can be seen throughout her work, daily life and personality. Courtney is pleased to have Dynamic Physio & Wellnss as part of her positive journey and to promote a healthy, happy lifestyle to all her clients.

Shauna Hoben, RMT

Shauna has an empathetic personality and a passion for helping and healing, which prompted her career in massage therapy. Her genuine care for her clients' well being and progress make her treatments stand out. Shauna graduated from Academy Canada's Massage Therapy program in 2017 and has been part of the crew at Dynamic Physio and Wellness since February 2018, and she couldn't be happier with her career. She has a background in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry in addition to her massage training. Her specialties include Swedish Relaxation Massage, Cupping Therapy, deep or light pressure depending on the needs/preferences of each client. Shauna’s treatments offer a perceptive therapeutic touch, for those who have trouble voicing what they need in a treatment. Shauna’s sweet demeanor and ready wit can brighten any atmosphere. Shauna’s other passions in life include the ocean, reading, learning new things and spending time with family and friends.

Felicia Newell - Registered Dietitian- Nutritionist & Health Coach

Felicia Newell is a Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian, Health Coach, & Food and Nutrition Expert. She has over 11 years of education and experience in, and is trained in Medical Nutrition Therapy and Nutrition Counselling. Between completing her Bachelor and Masters in Nutritional Sciences, working at a research centre, teaching university courses, many years of nutrition counselling and helping people, and being a busy mom of 4 young boys, she has the well-rounded education, skills, passion, and experience to help others improve their health, and achieve their wellness goals.
